I'm going to be implementing SBG in my math 9 adapted class and greatly appreciate hearing how others have handled things as well as things that didn't work. I am considering using classtime every two weeks or so for students to retest a concept as I'm not convinced that my group would ever see me outside of class time. Was all of your tutoring done outside of classtime?Michelle Burtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17795604411279529337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2952496719505884027.post-41820371260485784492010-08-04T20:28:18.053-07:002010-08-04T20:28:18.053-07:00Hello,

I agree with you that 2 quizzes is not enough so this year I will put each concept on 3 quizzes, giving my students more chances to get a perfect score. This is also one of my responses to attendance issues. A thought on that ... Last semester I gave the students only 3 weeks from the last quiz to master missed objectives. This kept them from waiting until the last few days of the semester to come in for tutoring.Teaching Goddesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01555860978158057303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2952496719505884027.post-79370908946198756972010-07-17T21:27:45.594-07:002010-07-17T21:27:45.594-07:00Thanks Jason! I'm also glad you found grading to be easier. That's a big hold up for teachers trying to adopt but I definitely agree with you that it's so much faster. Did you submit your blog to the carnival? Matt is available both on email or twitter and he's a nice guy. He's @mctownsley. I'm @jybuell if you're on. Say hello.

BTW, glad to see a blog update!
